Ministerial Decree No. 733 validating classification of emergency situations and disasters.

This Ministerial Decree establishes organizational and legal grounds for assessment and classification of emergency situations and disasters and regulates relations in the process of the functioning of state bodies and local government related to protection of the population and environment against thereof. Emergency situations shall be classified as follows: (a) by the number of victims; (b) by economic damages; and (c) by the quantity of the population with the disturbed vital activity. Emergency situations shall be classified by the following types: (a) natural emergencies and disasters; (b) technological emergencies and disasters; (c) ecological emergencies and disasters; (d) biological and social emergencies and disasters; and (e) conflicts.
