Abstract
This Regulation (Prakas) provides for the establishment of community forest areas within the Forestry Administration Section of Kralanh, Chikraing and Banteaysrey for the sustainable management of forest communities in Siem Reap province.
The purpose of establishing these community forest areas are: to manage, utilize, protect, maintain, conserve and develop sustainable community forests; to utilize forest products and sub-products in a traditional manner for living and for religious beliefs; to benefit from potential sub-products and community forest resources; and to support the Royal Government s policy in reducing poverty.
