Abstract
This Royal Decree declares the pleasant site of Preah Vihear to be a protected area.
The main objectives of this Royal Decree are to: conserve the cultural heritage, archaeology, ethnology and history of the protected area; greatly increase the value of the site; conserve the cultural scenic view and develop a tourism area; and to protect the natural environment in the area in accordance with the practical geography.
The Royal Decree further provides for: determination of areas; management of the protected area; and maintenance and protection of the protected area.
