Abstract
This Sub-Decree provides for the management of the zone of the natural cultural site of Preah Vihear province.
The Sub-Decree has the following purposes: to ensure the development of the pleasant site of Preah Vihear with environmental sustainability; conserve cultural patrimony and natural resources; and to attract national and international tourists.
This Sub-Decree shall apply to all protection areas in accordance with the identified map as defined in the Royal Decree No. NS/RKT/0406/183.
The organization and administration of the pleasant site of Preah Vihear temple shall be the competence of the National Authority to Protect and Develop Natural Cultural Site of Preah Vihear Temple in close cooperation with local authorities.
The development of the natural cultural site within the four tourism zones require: a development project; environmental impact assessments and projects for replacing and decreasing negative impacts to the lowest level; the evaluation of environmental impact in researching artefacts in the those relevant zones; and the collection of archaeological data and artefacts to be kept prior to starting development if needed.
A construction permit shall be issued by the National Authority to Protect and Develop National Cultural Site of Preah Vihear Temple, and shall comply with provisions of urban planning and construction.
