Abstract
This Act amends the Fisheries Ordinance (Cap 33) so as to raise penalties for illegal fishing. Changes are required in relation with increasing access by foreign fishing vessels and their modern methods of fishing and Kiribati’s own involvement in the Nauru Agreement amendments.
