Abstract
This Act amends the Local Government Act 1984 in section 10 by deleting 3 years and one-third and inserting 4 years and one-quarter respectively. The amendment seeks to increase the term of office of elected members from 3 years to 4 years to bring it in line with the term of office of a member of the Maneaba ni Maungatabu.
