Abstract
These Regulations, made under provisions of the Public Health Act, Chapter 9.21, concern: food, as any article used as food or drink for human consumption excluding water; any substance used in the composition and preparation of food; any flavouring and any colouring matter; food handling, as selling or distributing food; food stand. The Regulations provide for: issuance of permission of food handling and vending; application and granting of health permit issued by the competent medical officer; specific requirements for storage of food in food stands; hygiene and sanitary requirements for rooms and premises where food handling is conducted; cleansing of equipment and utensils; storage, exposure and carriage of food; penalties.
