Abstract
These Regulations, made under provisions of the Public Health Act, Chapter 9.21, provide for controlling the presence of mosquitoes in livestock premises and water. The Regulations concern: spraying of premises with specific insecticides; inspection of premises; specific requirements and restrictions on spraying; duties of occupiers before premises being sprayed; measures for allowing inspection of receptacles intended for the storage of water within the livestock premises; cleanliness of the receptacles used to provide drinking water for animals and poultry; keeping wells clean and mosquito-proof, even with larvivorous fish of a species approved by the authority; measures to prevent retaining of rainwater, and the presence of mosquitoes in aquatic stages; measures to storage water in mosquito-proof containers; offences and penalties.
