Solid Waste Management (Amendment) Act, 2009 (No. 38 of 2009).

This Act amends the Solid Waste Management Act in sections 5, 24 and 49 and inserts a new section (56A) and a new Schedule (5). Section 5 concerns the Solid Waste Management Authority, section 24 concerns collection zones to be prescribed by the Minister, whereas section 49 concerns Litter Wardens. The new section grants power to the Minister to amend the Schedule to the Act and the new Schedule specifies an environmental levy.
