Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to protect citizen's health and environment, improve the quality of life of citizens, and contribute to public safety by providing for matters regarding safety control of radiation to which citizens may be exposed in their daily lives. In order to protect citizen's health and environment from environmental radiation, the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission shall formulate a five-year comprehensive plan for environmental radiation protection, consulting with the heads of related central administrative agencies. This Commission shall formulate an annual implementation plan each year for the relevant comprehensive plan, consulting with the heads of related central administrative agencies, as prescribed by Presidential Decree, and shall notify the heads of related central administrative agencies of the plan.
