Enforcement Decree of the Creation and Management of Forest Resources Act.

The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe the matters delegated by the Creation and Management of Forest Resources Act and matters necessary for the enforcement thereof.
The Minister of the Korea Forest Service shall take into account the forest management conditions as well as the standards, indicators, etc. referred to in Article 13 (1) of the Framework Act on Forestry and Article 11 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act in developing the forest sustainability index under Article 7 (1) of the Act. The Minister of the Korea Forest Service shall also maintain and manage a series of processes, including research and development, monitoring, evaluation, and feedback, to continuously supplement and widely use the forest sustainability index.
The Decree further provides for: formulation of forest management plans for public forests owned by local governments; standards for registration of seeds and seedlings growers; compensation for disasters; forest management technicians; penal provisions; etc.
