Abstract
The Enforcement Decree provides detailed rules for implementing Korea’s Fishery Resources Management Act. It specifies delegated matters and enforcement procedures concerning fishery resource planning, investigation, conservation, restoration, creation, quota management, public notices, and the roles of central and local authorities.
More specifically, the Decree regulates annual implementation plans, resource surveys and catch data, prohibited capture periods, size limits, prohibited fishing zones, standards for non-fishers, suspension of fishing, vessel restrictions, hazardous fishing methods, environmentally friendly gear, fishery seed release, total catch quotas, levies, protected waters, delegated duties, and administrative fines.
