Abstract
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters necessary for the enforcement of the Framework Act on Marine Fishery Development.
The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries shall establish the objectives and directions of midterm and long-term policies for the rational management, preservation, development and utilization of seas and marine resources, and the fosterage of marine industries. Basic and execution plans for marine fishery development shall be established as provided for in articles 3-5. Composition and operation of the Marine Fishery Development Committee and of working committees are specified in articles 6-11. The remaining articles deal with the following matters: preservation of the marine environment; development of marine resources; installation of a marine science base; expansion of harbour facilities; fosterage of fisheries, etc.
