Abstract
The Decree consists of 7 articles and supplementary provisions: Purpose (1); Basepoint of Straight Baseline (2); Breadth of the territorial sea in the Korea Strait (3); Passage of Foreign Warships or other Government Ships (4); Activities of Foreign Ships in the territorial Sea (5); Standards for Control of Discharge of Pollutants (6); Temporary Suspension of Innocent Passage (7). In measuring the breadth of the territorial sea, each area of the sea where a straight line is employed as the baseline and the basepoint thereof in accordance with article 2 of the Act, is delimited as indicated in Schedule 1 to this Decree. The breadth of the territorial sea in the Korea Strait shall be as in Schedule 2. Activities listed in article 5, including fishing, requires an authorisation of the authorities concerned in accordance with article 5 of this Decree.
