Abstract
The purpose of these rules is to provide for matters delegated by the Animal Protection Act and the Enforcement Decree of the same Act and those necessary for the enforcement thereof. The Rule – consisting of 48 articles – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: Qualification of Members of Animal Welfare Committee (art. 1); Prohibition against Cruelty to Animals (art. 4); Persons Transporting Animals (art. 5); Slaughtering of Animals (art. 6); Standards for Regions Excluded from Registration of Animals (art. 7); Report of Changes on Matters to be Registered (art. 9); Safety measures (art. 12); Period for Protective Measures (art. 14); Designation of Animal Care Centers (art. 15); Joint Establishment of Ethics Committee (art. 24).
