Abstract
This Act provides for the effective development, utilization, and the appropriate protection of hot springs.
The Minister of Public Administration and Security shall establish and implement a comprehensive plan for the development of hot springs and of the hot spring industry.
The Act provides for the designation of hot spring hole protection zones, of rest hot springs and of hot spring towns. The head of Si/Gun shall formulate a development plan for hot springs and apply for approval of the Mayor/Do Governor.
The Act further provides for: permission of excavation in order to make hot spring spout water; permission to install power equipment for water sampling in hot spring and permission for utilization of hot springs and related restrictions; standards for water quality of hot spring baths; the preservation and management of hot spring resources; penalties; etc.
Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force on 1 July 2006.
