Abstract
This Law regulates the particulars of the privatisation of the property of state agricultural enterprises and is aimed at overcoming of the monopoly in the production of the agricultural commodities by creating various form of property and management, by creating the conditions for the transition to market economy in agriculture, by promoting free competition among producers, by stimulating free enterprise for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of agricultural production and the improvement of the delivery of foodstuffs and industrial raw materials to the population. Land and other natural resources pertaining to exclusive property of the Republic of Kazakhstan are not subject to privatization (art. 3). Land pertaining to collective farms shall be conditionally subdivided into parcels. In case of leaving collective farm for the purpose of setting up individual farm the leaving worker shall be allotted a plot of land in conformity with average size of the parcel of land (art. 15). The Law consists of 2 Sections composed of 23 articles. Section 1 lays down the general provisions. Section 2 determines the forms and the modalities of privatisation.
Entry into force notes
The Law enters into force from 1 February 1992.
