Law No. 17-VIII ZRK “On amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of the Semipalatinsk nuclear safety zone, ecology and electric power industry”.

Article 13 of Land Code (No.442-II ZRK of 2003) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Transfer of reserve land to nuclear safety zone land shall be performed at the proposal by authorized body in the field of nuclear energy use”. Article 120-1 of Land Code (No.442-II ZRK of 2003) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Nuclear safety zone land is land provided in the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the creation and functioning of the nuclear safety zone. Allotment of land use in the nuclear safety zone shall be authorized by the competent organization to ensure the functioning of the Semipalatinsk nuclear safety zone is carried out by decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. Article 22 of Environmental Code (Law No. 400-VI ZRK shall be supplemented with the following wording: “The register of emissions and transfer of pollutants is maintained by subordinate organization of the authorized body in the field of environment security”.
