Law No. 527-IV ZRK “On national security”.

This Law regulates legal relations in the sphere of national security and determines contents and principles for ensuring security of citizens, society and state, establishes system, goals and directions for ensuring national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Economic security shall include food security, envisaging protection of the national economy, including agro-industrial complex enabling the state to guarantee physical and economic access to the population to high quality and safe foodstuffs sufficient to meet physiological food consumption rates and demographic growth. Food security shall be ensured through priority formation, renewal and replenishment of state food reserves (Art. 22).
