Ministerial Decree No. 18-03/159 validating the Regulation on restrictions and prohibitions for the use of wild fauna species, parts and derivatives thereof.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the procedure for application of restrictions on the use of wild fauna species, parts and derivatives thereof with a view of conservation and reproduction of wild fauna species. Use restrictions shall be applicable with the consideration of geographical and climatic particulars of the areas of populations of wild fauna species. Restrictions and prohibitions shall be applicable as follows: (a) by territoriality: on the whole territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on inter-regional, basin level, within the administrative boundaries of individual territorial units or parts thereof, as well as on separate hunting grounds, waterbodies and/or areas; (b) by time periods: permanently (without specifying the terms of validity), within certain time periods, the postponement of the deadline; (c) by application of methods, types and gear of hunting of wild fauna species, procurement of parts and derivatives thereof; (d) by animal species, when it is necessary to restrict and change rates for the removal of individual species or groups of animals, their particular populations, or by sex or age; and (e) to limit the number of users of wild fauna species, parts and derivatives thereof.
