Ministerial Decree No. 18-04/149 validating the Regulation on quotas for hunting and capture of wild fauna species.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the procedure for the distribution of quotas for the removal of wild fauna species between hunting and fishing entities. Distribution of the quota for the removal of wild fauna species, except for fish resources and other aquatic animals, between hunting entities shall be performed with the consideration of wildlife resources, productivity of hunting grounds and applications from hunting entities for hunting. Distribution of quotas for the removal of fish resources and other aquatic animals between entities of the fishery sector shall be carried out with the consideration of the declared quotas and in accordance with the results of their rating. Distribution of quotas for the removal of animal species that are objects of hunting and fisheries shall be carried out by national associations of hunters and hunting management entities, as well as by public associations of fishermen and fishery entities between hunters and fishermen. Hunting associations shall perform distribution of quotas within established limits and rates for the period from 15 February of the current year to 15 February of the following year. If available number of wild fauna species are not sufficient to authorize hunting, then hunting quotas shall not be distributed. Fishing association shall perform distribution of quotas within established limits and rates for the period from 15 February of the current year to 15 February of the following year. In the case when the total amount of the declared quota exceeds the catch limit at a given fishery waterbody, Fishing association allocates quotas based on rating score sheet in accordance with Annex 3.
