Ministerial Decree No. 18-05/928 of 14 October 2015 validating the Rules for the stocking of waterbodies, fishery melioration of waterbodies.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the procedure for the performance of works for the stocking of waterbodies, fishery melioration of waterbodies. Stocking of fishery waterbodies shall be intended release of fish seed (stocking materials) with a view of creating self-reproducing populations, to preserve valuable, rare and endangered species of fish and (or) commercial production. Stocking of fishery waterbodies shall be performed by: (a) state enterprises engaged in activities for reproduction of fish resources; (b) natural persons and legal entities fulfilling state order for stock enhancement on competitive basis; (c) managers of wild fauns; and (d) entities performing economic activities, in the form of compensation for damages caused to fish stocks. Stocking of waterbodies shall be performed in accordance with scientific recommendations, issued by a scientific organization in the field of protection, reproduction and management of wild fauna. Scientific recommendations must indicate: (a) substantiation of expediency of the stocking of waterbodies and forecasts of the expected results; (b) characteristics of waterbodies, information on species and age of fish seed recommended for the stocking; and (c) recommended locations, timing, methods and technique of the stocking.
