Abstract
The purpose of the Program is the conservation and protection of rare and endangered wildlife hoofed species and saiga on the basis of the normative, legal, organizational and economic arrangements excluding mass poaching and ensuring stabilization of quantity and reproduction of the aforesaid species. The targets of the Program are: 1) organization of the protection of the aforesaid species ensuring suppression of mass poaching; 2) strengthening legislative arrangements aimed at the protection of the aforesaid species; 3) organization of reliable, efficient annual registration of the aforesaid species; 4) organization of the system of monitoring of the aforesaid species; 5) scientific research for the purpose of the elaboration of biotechnological basis for the conservation of genetic resources and determination of the optimum number of rare and endangered wildlife hoofed species.
