Abstract
All water bodies (territorial sea, internal sea, rivers, lakes, ponds, water reservoirs and their adjoining waters) that are used or can be used for industrial fisheries and catch of other aquatic animals, or are important for reproduction of marketable fish species shall be considered fishing water bodies. Fishing inspection shall be in charge of protection of fish stocks and other aquatic animals, enforcement of the present Regulation and carrying out arrangements for stock enhancement of fish stocks and amelioration of fishing water bodies. Fisheries and catch of other aquatic water bodies outside coastal fishing areas shall be carried out in conformity with authorization (licence) issued by fishing inspection to each fishing vessel and each fishing gear. Artisanal and sport fishing, catch of other aquatic animals for proper consumption shall be permitted to all citizens in all water bodies except for protected areas, fish farming enterprises and other fish breeding facilities on condition of observance of fisheries regulations, protection of fish stocks and regulations on water use. For the purpose of rational management of stocks of some aquatic animals quotas and limits for catch thereof can be set.
