Ministerial Decree No. 246 validating Fisheries Regulation.

The present Ministerial Decree validates the statute of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and establishes its competence. The main tasks of the Ministry shall be: (a) state supervision over environmental protection, observance of environmental legislation and compliance with ecological requirements; (b) state environmental control system development; (c) optimization of environmental protection; (d) international cooperation; (e) dissemination of environmental information and education. The Ministry shall carry out the following functions: (a) policy-making; (b) rate setting for emissions; (c) licensing; (d) environmental monitoring; (e) environmental audit; (f) Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA); (g) environmental research.
