Abstract
The National Plan for Action regarding environmental hygiene reflects the pressing priorities of the present day at the national level, taking into consideration the actual state of public health and negative impact thereon of the complex ecological, social and economic factors. The purpose of the National Plan for Action regarding environmental hygiene is to create optimal sanitary and hygienic conditions for the population at the place of residence, vital and working activity. The priorities are to supply safe potable water in sufficient quantity, sanitary and hygienic monitoring over the sources of emission of pollutants into the atmospheric air, sanitary and epidemiological safety of soil, waste management of domestic and industrial waste, rational feeding and safety of food, anti-epidemic arrangements in the zones of natural and industrial disasters and sanitary education. The Regulation consists of 5 sections. Section 1 determines the targets of the National Plan for Action. Section 2 specifies the priorities. Section 3 regards provision of the population with safe potable water in sufficient quantity. Section 4 regards scientific substantiation of the National Plan for Action. Section 5 lays down final provisions.
