Ministerial Decree No.7-1/86 of 9 February 2015 validating the Rules for the introduction or cancellation of restrictive quarantine measures.

In case of the outbreak of contagious animal diseases in the territory where epizootic focus has been detected depending on the administrative-territorial division and degree of spread of contagious animal disease shall be applied restrictive measures or quarantine. Restrictive measures and quarantine shall be applied as advised by the Chief State Veterinary and Sanitary Inspector of the respective area of responsibility by: (a) local government in case of the outbreak of animal diseases in two or more districts of a province; (b) local executive body of national significance and capital city in case of the outbreak of infectious animal disease on the territory of the city; (c) local executive body of a city of regional significance in case of the outbreak of infectious animal diseases on its territory; and (d) head of local administration (mayor) in case of the outbreak of infectious animal diseases on the territory under its administration. Restrictive measures and quarantine are lifted after full recovery (absence of disease), cessation of the spread of animal disease and application of a set of veterinary measures to eliminate outbreaks of infectious animal diseases, including final disinfection with bacteriological examination on the quality of disinfection.
