Order No. 18-05/928 of the Minister of Agriculture validating the Regulation on stock enhancement (repopulation) of waterbodies and fishery amelioration of waterbodies.

This Order establishes the procedure for stock enhancement (repopulation) of waterbodies and fishery amelioration of waterbodies intended as release of fish stocking material to waterbodies and (or) fishing areas for the purpose of creating self-reproducing populations, preservation of valuable, rare and endangered fish species and (or) obtaining commercial production. Stock enhancement of waterbodies shall be performed by: (a) state enterprises engaged in activities related to reproduction of fish resources; (b) natural persons and legal entities fulfilling the state order on the reproduction of fish resources on a competitive basis; (c) managers of wildlife; and (d) entities engaged in economic and other activities, including compensation for damages caused by unavoidable harm to fish stocks. Stock enhancement shall be performed upon recommendation of scientific research institutions in the field of protection, reproduction and management of wildlife. Scientific substantiation must indicate: (a) substantiation of expediency of stock enhancement of waterbodies and forecast of expected results; (b) characterization of waterbodies, information on species and age composition, volumes (quantity) of fish stocking material recommended for stocking of waterbodies; and (c) recommended places, time periods, methods and types of stock enhancement.
