Order No. 373 validating the Regulation on the storage, transport and application of pesticides.

This Order determines modalities for the storage, transport and application of chemical pesticides and herbicides with a view to preventing negative effects on human health and the environment resulting from their use. It shall be mandatory for natural and legal persons. Pesticides shall be stored at special storage facilities in compliance with ecological, sanitary and epidemiological requirements. The aforesaid storage facilities shall contain a general section for storing pesticides, a section for storing inflammable and highly explosive substances, and a section for storing extremely hazardous substances (Category 1). The amount of stored pesticides must not exceed projected storage capacity. Transportation of foodstuffs, fodder or potable water together with pesticides, or in a conveyance previously used to transport pesticides, shall be prohibited. Application of pesticides shall be carried out exclusively where a registration certificate has been obtained.
