Order No. 7-1/832 of the Minister of Agriculture validating Veterinary (sanitary-veterinary) requirements for business entities performing procurement (slaughtering), storage, processing and trade of products and raw materials of animal origin.

This Order establishes the requirements for business entities performing procurement (slaughtering), storage, processing and trade of products and raw materials of animal origin. Management of slaughtering sites must set up units for good practices application related to identification of compliance of livestock, products and raw materials of animal origin to veterinary requirements and standards. Slaughtering sites shall be attributed registration numbers. Livestock arriving for slaughtering, as well as products and raw materials of animal origin intended for processing, storage and trade, shall be accompanied by veterinary certification attesting their safety, origin and quality. In case of putting in operation of production facilities, as well as installation of processing equipment or production lines and/or production of new types of meat (dairy products, fish products) the manufacturing facility must obtain a veterinary and sanitary certificate. The territory of the production facilities is fenced off by a continuous fence in order to prevent unauthorized access by unauthorized persons and stray animals. On the territory of the production facility a unit or disinfection barrier must be installed for sanitary disinfection of incoming transport. Only livestock and poultry from the territories free from infectious diseases that have passed mandatory identification shall be accepted for slaughtering. Slaughtering of sick animals and birds shall be performed separately from healthy animals and birds and/or at the end of the work shift. Fish products must be labelled with the indication of fishing area.
