Abstract
This Decision establishes the regulations and measures for the centralized registration of importers and exporters in the Lao PDR. Its primary purpose is to monitor trade activities uniformly across the country, ensure the management of national revenue and foreign currency payments resulting from trade, and promote the production of high-potential domestic goods to contribute to socio-economic development.
Importers and exporters of goods specifically managed by the government (concerning revenue and payments) or goods that have a rapid impact on the public's livelihood must register with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Applicants must submit an application form (set by the Department of Import and Export), a copy of their Enterprise Registration Certificate (or trade rights certificate for foreign traders), and a copy of their business operating license if applicable.
