Abstract
This Decree consisting of 9 articles and 2 Annexes aims at defining the required standard to import grain feed. It includes contaminant limit; pesticide residue; chemicals. Article 4 deals with the documents required as follows: phytosanitary certificate/veterinary certificate issued by the competent authority of the export country; for material feed not included in Annex 2 needed lab analysis of their chemical structure and laboratory certification to ensure that the levels of pollutants are within the limits forth in Annex 1. Upon entry, the imported materials are subject to inspections by the competent Lebanese authorities. It is prohibited the import, handling, manufacturing and use of meat and bone meal and any feed of animal origin except for fish meal. The 2 Annexes are entitled as follows: The proportion of presence of pollutants allowed in imported materials (1); Chemical analysis of feed materials imported (2).
