Resolution No. 239/1 of 2009 defining requirements and conditions for the importation of animal products.

This Resolution is composed of 9 articles. Article 1 allows the importation of animal products directly from the country of origin or from ports or airports adjacent of the country of origin provided with the bill of lading indicating that the destination of goods is Lebanon. Article 2 specifies documents and certificates which should be attached to goods. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of processed animal products except frozen and deep frozen meet directly from third parties or from free trade zones in third parties. Article 5 entrusts the Ministry of Agriculture to verify the true and documents attached to goods. Article 7 abrogates Resolutions No. 166/1of 1996, No. 228/1 of 1996, No. 477/1 of 2005 and No. 156/1 of 2009.
