Abstract
This Resolution is composed of 12 articles. Article1 abrogates Resolutions No. 166/1 of 13 April 1996, No. 228/1 of 14 May 1996 and 477/1 of 15 December 2005 on the conditions and requirements for the importation of livestock. Article 2 prohibits the importation of livestock (cows, goats, sheep, swine) unless from countries of origin or from ports free from contagious pests and diseases. Article 3 specifies documents and certificates to be provided with the imported livestock. Article 6 considers a country contaminated and affected with pests and diseases in accordance with the bulletins of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) or Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO and the like. Articles 9 and 10 specify documents and certificates to be provided with imported processed animal products.
