Abstract
This Resolution is composed of 8 articles. Article 1 allows the importation of livestock (cows, goats, sheep and pigs) directly) from the country of origin or from ports or airports adjacent of countries of origin which are in agreement with Lebanon through veterinary authorities and provided with sanitary certificates and bills of lading indicating that the destination of goods is Lebanon. Article 2 specifies documents and certificates which should be attached to animal consignments. Article 4 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of livestock from free trade zones in third parties. Article 5 entrusts the Ministry of Agriculture to verify the true and verity of documents attached to animal consignments. Article 7 abrogates Resolutions No. 166/1of 1996, No. 228/1 of 1996, No. 477/1 of 2005 and No. 156/1 of 2009.
