Abstract
This Resolution is composed of 7 articles. Article 1 decrees the ban on the importation of living ornamental birds from countries infected by bird flu of mandatory reporting. Article 2 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of ornamental birds fro countries free from the bird flu of mandatory reporting, in particular: birds should be bred in factories registered at the veterinary authorities in countries of origin; birds should be provided with CITES certificates (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora); and, sanitary certificates issued by veterinary authorities of countries of origin. Article 3 deals with procedures and measures of quarantine and sampling. Article 4 entrusts the Animal Wealth Department to monitor countries infected by bird flu of mandatory reporting issued by the World Organization for Animal Health.
