Abstract
This Resolution forbids the import of poultry and their products, ornamental birds and feathers from the countries and the zones signaled by the OIE as affected by the avian influenza. Poultry, in this text, refers to chicken, turkey, duck, geese, ostrich, pheasant, dove, partridge, quail, Guinea fowl, emu, rhea and cassowary. The imported feathers shall receive specific treatments before their arrival into Lebanon. The Resolution sets out procedures for the registration of importers at the Directorate of Livestock and for the delivery of goods from Lebanese border ports. The Resolution concludes with different samples to be presented to the Ministry of Agriculture.
