Abstract
This Resolution amends article 2 of Resolution No. 191/1 of 2004, article 2 of Resolution 234/1 of 2003 and Resolution No. 93/1 of 2005 consecutively as the following: (a) in the event of repeated breaches of health conditions contained in the Resolutions in force in three consecutive consignments of meat during the period of one year, the importation of meat from the importer slaughterhouse is prohibited; the Administration for Control of Import, Export and Quarantine shall investigate into causes of the contamination of meat; (b) the Minister of Agriculture shall appoint a committee from the Directorate of Livestock for the disclosure and examination of any slaughterhouse wishes to export meat to Lebanon in order to make sure the compatibility and conformation to the Lebanese health conditions and requirements; (c) in the event of late arrival of frozen meat consignment for a period not exceeding 3 days to fifty days the period specified in Resolution No. 93 / 1 of 2005, the Minister of Agriculture may allow the introduction of it.
