Abstract
This Act concerns registration and protection of geographical indications, and it is divided into five parts. The Act covers goods, as any natural or agricultural product or any product of handicraft or industry. Matters included in this Act are: application for registration and contents of application; examination, opposition and registration; right of the producers to use a registered geographical indication in the course of their trade; competence of court and appeals; civil proceedings for protecting geographical indications; geographical indications for wines and spirits; offences and penalties; misleading marks and exclusion from protection.
