Amendment to Issuance of Certificates of Competence for Skippers (Local Fishing Board) Regulations 2019.

These Regulations amend the Issuance of Certificates of Competence for Skippers (Local Fishing Board) Regulations, 2019. New regulations 10A and 10B are added which provide for suspension or revocation of skipper licence for engaging in fishing operations in contravention of the provisions of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act, No. 2 of 1996 and regulations thereunder. Further, such a skipper whose licence is suspended may not serve on fishing boats for the period determined by the Director General.
