Abstract
These Regulations shall apply to aquaculture enterprises set out in part I of the Schedule. No person shall set up or operate an aquaculture enterprise except under the authority of a licence issued to him by the Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources or any officer authorized by him (reg. 3). An application for a licence shall be made in Form A set out in part II of the Schedule. Regulation 6 specifies the authorizing authority for each of the four categories of aquaculture enterprises. A licence shall be made in Form B set out in the Schedule, shall not be transferable, be valid for one year and renewable (reg. 7). The Director may limit the number of licences in the interest of the economy and the environment (reg. 8). Regulations 9 to 18 prescribe specific procedures and requirements for the granting licences for each category of aquaculture enterprise. The Director may issue specific directions to licence holders where he considers it necessary to do so under epizootic conditions . (21 regulations completed by a Schedule)
