Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of 19 sections and ten Schedules, establish Forest Conservation requirements (Registration of Timber Depots and Property Marks) and apply within all Administrative Districts of Sri Lanka. Every application for a Certificate of Registration made under Section 23B of the implemented Ordinance, to carry on the business of a timber depot in terms of Section 23A of the Ordinance, shall be substantially in the form set out in Schedule I. Any person who carries on the business of a timber depot, by virtue of a Certificate of Registration obtained prior to the coming into operation of these regulations, under the Forest Regulation No. 3 of 1979 published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 68/14, of December 26, 1979 shall not be required to obtain a Certificate of Registration.
