Abstract
The Ordinance provides for the appointment of a Salt Commissioner to carry on the present provisions. No person shall collect, manufacture or posses salt with the exception of having being issued a licence by the Government for possession or retail sale of accounted for quantity of salt. The Government may issue also regulations for the protection of salt mines under this Ordinance. No import or export of salt shall be conducted without the permit issued by the Commissioner. Every licensed salt retailer has to show the licence in the premises and the salt shall be sold and priced by weight. No adulterated salt shall be sold or traded.
