Local Government (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 5 of 2004).

The Act amends the Local Government Act 1996 in respect of, among other things: composition of Community, Rural, Urban, Municipal and District Councils; functions of local authorities; organization and administration of local authorities; boundaries commissions; and regulation-making powers of the Minister taking into consideration the gender perspective.
