Law No. XIII-613 amending Law No. XI-1375 "On energy based on renewable sources".

Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The Government or its authorized body shall approve research of the territorial sea of the Republic of Lithuania, exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Lithuania in the Baltic Sea and other actions related thereto it is appropriate to organize a tender (competitions) for the use of renewable energy resources, description of the procedure for the development and operation of power plants, and the procedure for the establishment of these capacities, and the publication of results.” Article 13 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The maximum amounts of installed power of renewable energy sources produced by wind (on land and sea) power plants, solar energy power plants, hydro power plants and biofuel power plants connected to the power grids are determined by this Law. The use of renewable energy sources for the generation of electricity shall be stimulated in accordance with the procedure and conditions established by this Law and other legal acts.” Article 16 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Permits to develop electricity generation capacities from solar energy in the Curonian Spit are issued by tender in accordance with the procedure established by the Government or an institution authorized by it, taking into account the general requirements for promotion of electricity generation from renewable energy sources established by this Law and on the basis of objective and non-discriminatory principles and the valid territorial planning documents solutions.”
