Law No. XIII-779 amending Law No. IX-966 “On hunting”.

Article 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The right to use the wild fauna game resources shall be authorized by the Department of Environmental Protection, with the permission to use the game resources in the hunting plot.” Article 10 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The permit for the use of game resources in a specific hunting plots shall be issued by the Department of Environmental Protection, organizing a tender for the issuance of a permit for the use of game resources in a hunting plots in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of the Environment, with the following exceptions: (a) upon the proposal of the Ministry of the Environment, the permit for the use of game resources in a hunting plots shall be issued to scientific and educational institutions of the biological profile engaged in the research of wildlife, its habitats and hunting, training of students, hunters, or forest enterprises for the professional development of hunting, to organize hunting tourism and to implement special measures to increase the populations of game; (b) upon the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, the permit for the use of game resources in a hunting plot shall be issued to fishery ponds users; and (c) the permit for the use of game resources in a hunting plot shall be issued to users of hunting plots in accordance with the procedure provided for in Article 22 of this Law.”
