Abstract
This Law is divided into 12 articles as follows: Objective of the Law (1); Basic concepts (2); State administration and supervision of plant protection (3); Financing of the State Plant Protection Service (4); State plant quarantine (5); Registration of plant protection means (6); Production, import and trade of plant protection means and materials (7); Use of plant protection means and materials (8); Users of plant protection means and materials and their obligations (9); Settlement of disputes concerning plant protection (10); Legal responsibility for violation of the Plant Protection Law (11); International cooperation in the plant protection sphere (12).
This Law creates the legal regime for activities relating to plant protection from diseases, pests and weeds, as well as for the registration, manufacture, import, trade and storage procedures. The regime shall be administered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest Economy.
Amendments introduced in 1997 concern the State Administration and State Supervision of Plant Protection and the State Plant Protection Service.
