Resolution No. 384 on the Approval of Quarantine Regulations for the Production, Transportation, Conservation, Sale and Utilisation of Plants and Plant Products on the Territory of the Republic of Lithuania.

These Regulations regulate the procedure of assessment, localisation and liquidation of harmful organisms in the soil and crop areas as well as on plans and plant products which are transported or kept for preservation and utilisation. The State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate and its structures shall control and ensure the observance of the provisions of these regulations and enforcement of quarantine measures. The spread of harmful organisms across the whole territory of the Republic of Lithuania is assessed every third year by way of sample control and monitoring. Quarantine examination of plants and plant products shall be carried out by inspectors of State Plant Quarantine Service. All planting material imported to the Republic of Lithuania shall be planted in the area examined and prepared in advance by the employees of the State Plant Quarantine Service and inspected during the vegetation period, and assessment shall be carried out of infection caused by pests, diseases, etc, which are not yet spread or not registered at all in the Republic of Lithuania and seeds and seedlings infected by the harmful organisms that are prohibited from being sowed or planted in the Republic of Lithuania. The remaining provisions of the Regulations contain rules regarding importation of plants and plant products.
