Order No. D1-622 on the Approval of the Description of the Procedure for the Use of Protected Species.

This ministerial order approves the Description of the Procedure for the Use of Protected Species and establishes the administrative procedures governing interactions with protected wild animals, plants and fungi. It defines the conditions and procedures for issuing permits to remove specimens from the natural environment, regulate population abundance, or mark individuals. The Environmental Protection Agency is designated as the competent authority to assess applications and grant authorizations, subject to the condition that such activities do not adversely affect the conservation status of species populations. The Order also specifies activities that do not require a permit, including non-disruptive observation, filming and photography.
The regulation sets out operational procedures for managing protected species that pose risks to public safety or cause significant economic damage, including criteria for removal where applicable. It establishes coordination mechanisms between municipal authorities and environmental institutions, identifies permitted methods for capture or collection, and provides for reporting obligations.
