Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No.477 validating the Procedure for awarding state and European Union support in the event "Aquaculture stock insurance".

This Regulation determines the procedure for granting, administering and monitoring state and European Union support related to the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund "Insurance of aquaculture stock". The purpose of the measure is to reduce the external risk factors of the aquaculture sector by partially covering the expenses for the insurance premium. The support applicants are: (a) an aquaculture industry company registered or recognized by the Food and Veterinary Service – merchant, farmer or fisherman's farm that grows aquaculture products for sale; and (b) the state scientific institute that implements the state policy in the field of reproduction of fish stocks. The applicant must have purchased an insurance policy for aquaculture stock insurance from the insurance service provider. One risk for one aquaculture stock in one insurance period is insured with one insurer. The eligible costs are the insurance premium for the insurance policy, if the insurance contract stipulates the following conditions, covering the applicant's losses caused by the following risk factors for aquaculture: (a) unfavorable climatic conditions; (b) natural disasters; (c) fire; (d) aquaculture disease, with the exception of diseases mentioned in regulatory acts on the compensation of losses incurred during an outbreak of an infectious animal disease or epizootic under state supervision; (e) sudden changes in water quality and quantity for which the applicant is not responsible; and (f) malfunction of production equipment or its destruction, for which the applicant is not responsible.
